In brief the Minority Business Advisory Council was established in 2003 and has since then been responsible for providing outstanding advice and direction to the Minority Business Community. The Council was renamed in March, 2006 as the Minority Business Advocacy Council, which is more in keeping with our vision and mission

Our business-centric atmosphere promotes inclusive community values, presents business opportunities to a diverse work force, as well as provides services to the minority business communities in Southern Maryland. MBAC evolved from the Charles County, MD Economic Development Department, focus on the needs of the Charles County minority business community. MBAC is comprised of minority business owners, non-minority business owners, organizations and county agencies. MBAC provides assistance to CCEDC’s the Regional Governments and the Minority Business Community on different issues affecting minority owned businesses. |
